La Maison

Dare, as in daring.

Born in Paris, the Maison imagines ties, bow ties, square silk scarves and long scarves.
Made to be worn by men and women alike.

Why this Maison?
Because clothing is a language, and we dream of a world that is more elegant, more colorful, freer in the way it dresses and expresses itself. Our collections are born of this desire for freedom and self-affirmation. They owe everything to the talent of our partner artisans: women and men who, in our three workshops, one in Paris and two in Italy, carry on crafts handed down from generation to generation.

Perhaps that is why a client once told us that our ties had changed his life, at work and beyond.
We have found no better reason to carry on.

Our emblem is a carousel, like those in the gardens of Paris. It appears on every one of our boxes and sums up the Maison: daring to climb into the saddle, and watching the collections change with every turn.

The workshops

Every piece makes a long journey.

The first step is the pattern. The pattern is drawn in Paris for our silk scarves and selected for most of our other pieces. For our seven fold ties, it takes shape in Como: created or chosen, then composed color by color into the final design. The journey continues with printing, dyeing or weaving on a Jacquard loom, then hours of precise gestures only the hand can make: tracing, cutting, assembling, sewing, hand-rolling.
The journey ends when the piece is laid in its box, sealed with wax and tied with a silk thread.
